Event Description
This program is designed to build imagination and experimentation with materials and mediums including drawing, painting and mixed media techniques. Each session will focus on a theme (the environment, still life or figure work). Over the weeks a variety of exercises will be conducted experimenting with the different media. Including paint, assemblage, collage, mosaics and more.

Taking inspiration from works by Andy Warhol, Picasso and Matisse. We will draw, paint, and cut out shapes to make artwork combining oil pastel, watercolor and collage. Sculptures will be made of cardboard, wood, fabric, paint, tiles and decorative materials.

Students will use recycled materials, newspaper, industrial discards, such as foam, cardboard and material to make wonderful creations such as camels, giraffes, crazy critters and more. This class encourages imagination and construction skills while also demonstrating that art can be anywhere and everywhere you look.
