Dubbo Area Home-based Learners Homeschool/Unschool Camp – 26th – 30th May 2015.
Lake Burrendong is located 20kms east of Wellington which is 5-6 hours drive from Sydney.
It is a very large dam/lake in a state forest that has camping facilities, cabin accommodation, kiosk, swimming pools and water slide. There are lots of hiking and 4WD trails, canoeing and kayaking with hire, swimming in the lake, a botanic garden and arboretum is just up the road. Wellington itself has two limestone (?) caves with a small Japanese garden. Western Plains Zoo is an 40min-1hr drive north.
The camp would be geared more towards being unschooly/gentle parenting, but all would be most welcome. Everyone would be responsible for their children at all times, parents would have to be present at all times and Dubbo Area Homeschoolers will not be personally liable for any issues that may arise.
Bookings are made directly to Lake Burrendong State Park on 68467435.
