Hands-on Ecological and Biodiversity Study for older children

Come and learn about the amazing bushland that we have in the Blue Mountains. You will be ecologists and biologists for the morning, learning how to do real citizen science and get up close with nature.

Jenny and Emma from Blue Mountains City Council will walk with you to bushland near the Mid Mountains Community Centre – the bushland will be our classroom. Unless it is very heavy rain we will brave the weather just like real scientists do!  So you may need to bring your raincoats. Wear good walking shoes and bring something to record your data. This class will run from 11:30-1:30.

This workshop is suitable for children who work at a high school level. Cost is free for HEA members, $2.00 for non-members. Please note: this workshop is not on the LL booking form – If interested in this workshop, please email the organiser Jane directly:
